Uber just unveiled a new Visa & Barclays credit card on October 25th and is accepting applications starting November 2nd. Interested people can apply for it right from the Uber app.
The card itself does look nice and sleek. It will probably come with the same width / weight as the chase sapphire card that is made out of metal.
Here is what the "in app" experience will look like using the Uber app.
Granted, most major companies have branded credit cards to help promote customer loyalty, but what a lot of people do not know is that those company cards also give the company access to your spending habits. While most people are just interested in the perks, which there are a lot of, Uber hasn't been shy in the past with consumer's data privacy, so something to look out for.

Ride in peace with mobile phone protection – Up to $600 for mobile phone damage or theft when you pay your mobile phone bill with your card.
Exclusive Access – Receive invites to exclusive events and offers in select U.S. cities.
Enjoy no foreign transaction fees – Use your card outside the U.S. with no hidden fees.
Redeem rewards on-the-go – Redeem points for Uber credits, gift cards, or cash back with a simple tap.
